Tuna Tartar Tacos

This dish was inspired by my trip to Hawaii. Very healthy, very fresh, and simply prepared. The flavors are light, mild, and overall refreshing with a hint of heat from the togarashi.

Tuna Tartar Tacos

Tuna Tartare:

Step 1
Place the dice tuna into a stainless steel mixing bowl and refrigerate until you are ready to dress and serve.
Step 2
For the dressing, combine all the ingredients and whisk together.
Step 3
Once the taco shells are ready, you may then lightly toss the tuna with some of the dressing and stuff about 2 T of tartar into the taco shells.
Step 4
Serve with fresh avocado, pickled ginger and some scallions.

Tacos Shells:

Step 1
Preheat the fryer with fresh oil to 375 degrees.
Step 2
Place one wrapper into each slot of a taco fry basket.
Step 3
Fry until golden brown and crisp.
Step 4
Once the shells are golden remove them from the fryer, season with togarashi and salt before cooling.
